Specification of

Nitrile rubber sheet (NBR) or Buna N is a general term for acrylonitrile butadiene copolymers. The content of acrylonitrile nitrile sealing compounds varies (18% to 50%) and affects the physical properties of the finished material. The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the resistance to oil and fuel. At the same time, elasticity and resistance to compression sets are affected. Given the opposite reality, a compromise is often drawn, and the acrylonitrile content of the media is chosen. NBR rubber is a fine plate sheet made from nitrile based compounds.

Buna N rubber has good oil and is gasoline resistant, tensile strength, elongation properties, heat resistance, and low set compression. This rubber works well on many acids, petroleum oils, minerals and vegetables.

Examples of conditions where the use of Buna N should be avoided are: Fuels from aromatic, chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, acetone, acetic acid, ethylene-esters, strong acids, brake fluid, and ozone, weather and atmospheric aging environments.
